ESG & Greenwashing – Case Study Approach
Background
Greenwashing is a deceptive practice where companies present themselves as environmentally responsible without substantiating their claims. This study will explore whether Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) frameworks effectively prevent greenwashing. By evaluating how ESG standards are implemented across different companies and industries, the project will assess the effectiveness of these criteria in curbing misleading environmental claims and promoting genuine sustainability efforts.
