This project introduces students to artificial intelligence (AI) and data analysis while addressing a significant social issue: the disparities in access to school sports programs and facilities. Students will investigate how AI can identify gaps in sports availability due to differences in funding, community resources, or geographic location. The aim is to develop an AI model that analyzes sports program accessibility and proposes equitable solutions for all students, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to participate in sports.

Understand the application of AI in assessing social disparities, specifically in access to sports programs, and explore how AI-driven insights can inform strategies for promoting equity in athletics
LO #2: The Importance of Equitable Sports Access
Learn about the factors influencing access to school sports programs, including funding, community involvement, and geographic considerations, and understand how these factors impact student wellbeing and personal development.
LO #3: Data Collection and AI Modeling Skills
Gain practical experience in gathering and organizing data from various sources, including online school profiles and community databases. Apply data preprocessing techniques and supervised learning models to analyze sports program availability and identify areas for improvement.
