Assessing Mars Colonization: Scientific Analysis of Resources, Atmosphere, and Survival Challenges

Background

The several space missions to Mars have revealed the images of the surface, the atmospheric conditions, the geology, and even the possibility of microbial life over the planet. However, human survival on the planet seems to be a distant future. Dust storms, temperature fluctuations, gravity differences, and communication delays can make human survival difficult on the planet.

Learning Outcome (LO)

  • LO #1: Analysing the scientific data on the environmental, atmospheric, and biological conditions on Mars.
  • LO #2: Evaluate the possibility of human survival on the planet considering the physiology of the humans.
