Evaluating the Environmental Impact of Electric Vehicles: Production Processes and Sustainability
Background
There are several methods of energy production. The current method is mostly coal-based which is not sustainable. Alternative vehicles, known as electric vehicles, aim to reduce the carbon footprint by using electricity which is a clean fuel compared to petrol and diesel. However, the energy production process in an electric vehicle is not as clean as it seems. It again brings dependence on the natural resources of the earth and parts of the energy production process are not environment friendly too.
Learning Outcome (LO)
- LO #1: A study of the energy production process in the making of electric vehicles.
- LO #2: Objective evaluation of the energy production process to check its sustainability and Eco friendliness.
