Significance of Healthy Nutrition, Hygiene and Disease Management in Modern Dairy Farms: Indian, Cross-bred Versus Foreign breeds

Background

Healthy Nutrition and hygiene are key to maintaining health and curbing diseases in dairy farms. Indigenous breeds are more robust in climate adaptability, disease resistance, unlike foreign breeds which are more susceptible to contract diseases (e.g. Protozoal diseases in certain demographics). Improved hygiene and efficient management can reduce risks of infections and diseases. Effective farm management includes hygiene maintenance, calf management and implementing superior reproductive practices.
