Street food is an important part of Indian culture, offering delicious and affordable options that attract many young people. This project focuses on how much urban youth spend on street food, what kinds of food they prefer, and do they prefer street food over restaurants.

Learning Outcome (LO)

  • LO #1: Understand how the affordability and variety of street food affect spending habits among young people. 
  • LO #2: Design and conduct simple surveys to learn about their friends’ and classmates’ favourite street food and how often they buy it. 
  • LO #3: Analyse survey data to suggest ways in which street vendors can attract more youth, such as new menu items or better hygiene practices.
