The Role of Local Festivals in Influencing Kids’ Shopping Choices

Background

Festivals like Diwali, Durga Puja, Christmas, and Eid are a significant part of Indian culture and bring excitement to everyone, including kids. During these festivals, special products like sweets, toys, clothes, and decorations are in high demand. Kids often play a big role in influencing family shopping choices for these items. This project explores how festivals shape kids’ preferences, what products they like to buy, and how businesses can make their products more appealing during these celebrations.

Learning Outcome (LO)

  • LO #1: Learn how festivals and traditions influence what kids like to buy, such as sweets, toys, and clothes.
  • LO #2: Create and use surveys to find out what kids prefer to shop for during festivals.
  • LO #3: Study the survey answers and share ideas for businesses to make better products for kids during festivals.
