What is the time commitment and duration of a research project?
The time commitment varies by program:

Most students manage this alongside school or college by dedicating a few hours per week. Timelines may vary slightly based on project complexity and individual progress.

Both programs are suitable for Indian research students and working professionals.
Mentorship
Who are the mentors?
The mentors are experienced PhD candidates, post-doctoral researchers, and industry experts from top-tier universities worldwide, including India and other countries. They are dedicated to guiding students through comprehensive research projects.
How are mentors assigned?
Mentors are matched based on the student's area of interest, career goals, and the specific track for which the student applies. Matching is based on research topic rather than geography, ensuring that each student is paired with an expert in the preferred area, such as entrepreneurship, AI, health, or economics.
Will my child get a research mentor from India or abroad?
Mentors come from global universities and research institutions, including India and other countries. The match is based on research topic, so each student works with an expert in the chosen field.
How does PhD-level research mentorship work for students?
Each student is assigned a PhD-level mentor in the chosen field, such as economics, psychology, data science, or business. Students work through a structured four-phase journey: topic discovery, methodology, drafting and analysis, and publication. Sessions are held one-on-one or in small groups of two to three students and are scheduled flexibly around school or college hours.
How often will I meet my mentor?
Mentorship sessions are typically held weekly via the R-Hub LMS. The frequency may be adjusted based on project needs and student progress.
Can I change my mentor?
Yes. Although uncommon, if there is a significant mismatch in research interests or other issues, a new mentor may be assigned. A mentor change may extend the project timeline by up to four weeks.
Are students allowed to take a break during the project?
Yes, students may take short breaks if required. However, school students must complete the project within six months, and undergraduate students and above must complete the project within twelve months. Project timelines cannot be extended beyond these limits.
What if I face difficulties during the project?
Students receive continuous support from both their PhD mentor and project coordinator. If challenges arise, assistance is available. If a student is not satisfied with the assigned mentor, one mentor change may be requested during the project, which may extend the timeline by up to four weeks.
How can parents track a child's progress in the program?
Parents can monitor key milestones through regular updates, submitted drafts, and the final certificate. For more detailed oversight, a brief session with the mentor or coordinator may be requested to discuss progress, timelines, and deliverables.
Outcomes, Publication, and Certificates
Can a school student in India actually publish a research paper?
Yes. Global R-Hub's Young Scholar and High School Scholar programs include publication support. Mentors help refine the paper and submit it to two or three suitable peer-reviewed international journals. Past students have published on topics such as AI, education, health, and sustainability.
What is the best way for an Indian student to publish a research paper?
For Indian students, an effective path is:

- Join a structured research-mentorship program such as Global R-Hub.
- Work with a PhD mentor who guides the process from idea to journal-ready paper.
- Submit to relevant journals recommended by the mentor.
This approach is widely used by students preparing for top universities, research internships, and scholarships.
Do students receive a certificate after completing the research program?
Yes. Every completed program awards a verified global certificate signed by PhD-level faculty. Students can share this certificate on LinkedIn, use it in college applications, and include it in CVs, portfolios, and scholarship forms.
How do research papers help students get into top colleges in India and abroad?
Research experience demonstrates curiosity, analytical skills, and commitment, which universities value highly. A published or publication-ready paper from a reputable mentorship platform such as Global R-Hub can strengthen a student's statement of purpose, CV, and interview performance, especially for programs in STEM, economics, business, and social sciences.
Can I use my research project for college applications, internships, or scholarships?
Absolutely. Many students use their Global R-Hub project as a portfolio piece, mention it in their CVs, and attach the paper or certificate in scholarship, internship, and university applications. The experience is especially useful for programs or roles that value data analysis, critical thinking, or independent inquiry.
What happens after I complete my research project?
After completion:
- Projects are reviewed by global faculty.
